ASTG and SIModified.com release Southern National Raceway Park! - by Charli Brown

The fast, high banked 4/10ths mile oval Southern National Raceway Park located in Kenly, North Carolina has finally been released for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season.

Charlotte, NC - The highly anticipated release of one of sim racing's most asked about tracks can finally be celebrated with the release of two complete versions of Kenly, North Carolina's Southern National Raceway Park.

The American Short Track Group (ASTG) and SIModified.com will host both versions of the track for download. The regular version is designed for Cup, GNS, and CTS platforms and has all the latest features for online league racing.

The "Modified" version will be available exclusively here at SIModified.com and is designed with a higher grip level for the high speed, open wheeled Whelen Modifieds.

The regular version of Southern National Raceway Park can be found by clicking on the ASTG link in the right hand column of the website, while the "Modified" version is available by clicking on the "Downloads" link on the left side column.

Rex Hoyle wins the Whelen "Made in America" 100 at Martinsville! - by Charli Brown

Kernersville, North Carolina's Rex Hoyle led a race high 63 laps en route to his second career win at the Martinsville Speedway, Wednesday night.

Martinsville, VA - Kernersville, North Carolina's Rex Hoyle led a race high 63 laps en route to his second career Whelen Modified Online Tour win the famed Martinsville Speedway, Wednesday night.

Doug Beaulieu won his second NPGPro.com Pole Award of the 2010 Summer Season with a lap time of 19.209 seconds at 98.579 Miles Per Hour. Rex Hoyle was second fastest, followed by Wayne "Muffy" Wildermuth, Chris O'Shell and Charli Brown.

Herman Reiss opens the 2010 Summer Season with a win in the Featherlite Trailers 100 at Iowa Speedway! - by Charli Brown

Herman Reiss used tire management to his advantage and won in his first career Whelen Modified Online Tour start Wednesday night at the Iowa Speedway.

Newton, IA - Huntersville, North Carolina's Herman Reiss used tire management to his advantage and won the Featherlite Trailers 100 at the Iowa Speedway, Wednesday night.

Doug Beaulieu set fast time to win the NPGPro.com Pole Award with a lap time of 22.160 seconds at 142.148 Miles Per Hour. Joe Doiron was second fastest, followed by Charli Brown, Rick Underwood and Scott Bryant.

Keith Joseph wins the 2010 SIModified.com Whelen Modified Online Tour Spring Season Championship! - by Charli Brown

Keith Joseph added his name to the SIModified.com "Hall of Champions" after winning the Whelen Modified Online Tour 2010 Spring Season Championship at the Richmond International Raceway, Wednesday night.

Richmond, VA - Lockport, New York's Keith Joseph won his first career SIModified.com Whelen Modified Online Tour Championship Wednesday night after finishing in the third position in the SAFER Barrier Project 100 at the Richmond International Raceway.

Joseph finished the 2010 Spring Season with 7 Top 5's and 10 Top 10 finishes and had an average finish of 4.3 over the course of the 10 race season. His best finish of the Spring Season was a second place finish at the "Race of Champions 100" at the Langhorne Speedway.

In one of the closest point battles in SIModified.com history, Keith Joseph won the 2010 Spring Season championship by just 5 points over Chris O'Shell.  Charli Brown finished third, with Scott Bryant and Rich Warden rounding out the top 5.

Twenty-six different drivers all started at least one event in the 2010 Whelen Modified Online Tour Spring Season, and four of the top six drivers in the final points rundown started every event.

The 2010 SIModified.com Summer Season championship begins this Wednesday night, June 2nd at the Iowa Speedway with the Featherlite Trailers 100.
